MUSE NDTMS Dataset H and DAMS Phase III Training 2011

Every April, the NTA update the NDTMS dataset.

In order to keep Partnerships and Providers informed of these changes MUSE provide annual dataset training within each DAAT area. A series of events took place during March and May 2011.

The NTA's Drug and Alcohol Monitoring System (DAMS) which is used by service providers to make monthly NDTMS submissions has also been updated to include functionality that allows services to check and correct any discrepancies between records in their monthly submission and the data held in the NDTMS database for their service. Training on this new functionality of DAMS Phase III was included at the dataset 'H' training events.

MUSE NDTMS New Starter and Refresher Training

MUSE run quarterly half day NDTMS new starter/refresher training sessions. These sessions are designed to provide new starters and those in need of refresher training with an overview of the National Drug Treatment Monitoring System (NDTMS).

This half day training event is relevant to new staff who need to understand NDTMS data collection and the uses of NDTMS data – including Service Managers, Keyworkers and Administrators within treatment providers and also any new information staff at Drug and Alcohol Action Teams.

Please note: You only need to attend this training once. You do not need to attend the training annually unless you feel you need a refresher. Places are offered on a first come first served basis, but priority will be given to new starters.

The next MUSE new starter and refresher training will take place on 28th May 2012 at the MUSE offices, Institute of Public Health, University Forvie site, Robinson Way, Cambridge, CB2 0SR.

Details will appear here nearer the time.

Your feedback
Here are some comments from people who have attended the training

" As a drugs worker I found it useful to hear the importance of data collection which sometimes can be seen as a chore when tasked by management. "

" Made a dry topic very palatable! Well done. 100% "
