East of England Practice Profiles Tool 2008/9
Select your Primary Care Trust (PCT) in step one, then select your GP practice in step two,
and finally click the 'Generate profile' button in step three.
These profiles are designed to assist GP practices and PCTs to ensure that they are
providing and commissioning an adequate level of effective and appropriate healthcare
services for their local population. The profiles contain information that can be used
for both practice and PCT commissioning, for local needs assessment, for monitoring of
population health and service use, and for clinical governance reviews. Specifically,
there is information on:
- local demographics
- estimated prevalence rates
- Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) indicators
- admission rates
- patient satisfaction
- comparisons for all practices within PCTs and against East of England averages.
The East of England Practice Profiles do not provide an exhaustive list of primary care indicators -
there are many other indicators that are collected and used at a local practice and PCT level. However,
these profiles provide a consistent approach to comparing and benchmarking across the East of England.
Some practices could not be included in these Profiles due to small numbers and other issues with the list size.
