Bedfordshire PCT
erpho-PCT link person: Imogen Tennison
This page brings together key public health data for this PCT including:- Health profiles – which bring together a range of indicators to provide an overview of health or a specific health issue in an area
- East of England key public health indicators (previously the Tartan Rug): 36 indicators of public health for East of England PCTs, updated quarterly
- Locally relevant datasets of core importance or not easily accessed elsewhere
Although the data shown below should provide a good overview of the health of the local population, it is not a comprehensive collection of all public health data relevant to the PCT. Further data are available from a wide range of sources, both local and national. If you can not find what you are seeking here, try this search. Please note that the 2 Unitary Authorities have only existed since 1 April 2009. The area of Central Bedfordshire previously consisted of Mid Bedfordshire (09UC) and South Bedfordshire (09UE) Local Authorities. Bedford Unitary Authority covers the same area as the former Local Authority of Bedford (09UD). Bedfordshire county has ceased to exist as of 1 April 2009. | |

2009 Health Profiles for LAs in Bedfordshire County (also includes previous years)
NOTE: Unfortunately there was a mistake in the source data for the GCSE achievement indicator in the Health Profiles 2009 provided by DSCF, which means that the figures included in the profiles for Bedford UA and Central Bedfordshire UA are incorrect. The DCSF made a mistake transposing two local authority figures in their published dataset, which has now been amended.
The correct GCSE achievement (5A*- C including English and Mathematics) at key stage 4 in 2007/08 is:
46.6% for Bedford and
51.0% for Central Bedfordshire.
