Erpho and CEDAR (The Centre for Diet and Activity Research) ran a joint conference focusing on research activity alongside public health and commissioning.

The events objectives:
- Present examples of current research projects which focus on evaluation of large scale public health interventions in the East of England;
- Present “lost opportunities” for evaluation – examples of things that haven’t been fully evaluated but could/should have been;
- Promote discussion about the challenges of evaluating public health interventions in service settings;
- Agree mechanisms for facilitating a dialogue between commissioners and academics in order to improve public health interventions.

We are aiming the event at Directors from Local Authorities, Unitary Authorities, PCTs, the SHA, Academics involved with health and healthcare and also GP and PBC Commissioners.
