Q. Why should I log on?
A. Users who log on have a variety of benefits:
You can access more resources.
You can customise the site for you: set favourites, set appearance and search preferences.
You get an update on your visit about new resources and get reminded what you were viewing last time.
You can subscribe, to obtain copies of our publications or to become alerted if resources in your areas of interest are added to the website.
Q. How do I logon?
A. Use the box in the top right hand of the home page. If you have not registered with the site before, please do so here. You are sent a username and a password by email when your registration is approved. We try to process incoming registrations within one working day. If you forget your password there is a 'forgotten password' option. A new password will be sent to your email address immediately. When logged on you may change your password and make other changes by clicking on the 'Edit Profile' link in the log on box.
Q. I know a resource is on the erpho website but I can't find it.
A. Although we try to make resources as widely available as possible access to certain items is restricted. We recommend that users always log on to the system. In most cases this will solve the problem. Another possibility would be that the search criteria were not ideal. For more advice on this topic please view Search Tips. Q. I have located the resource I want to see but can't view it.
A. The author might have reason to share the metadata of a resource but needs to control who can download the resource. We recommend that users always log on to the system. In most cases this will solve the problem. You also need to make sure that you have the right software on you computer to view the files. Microsoft Word, Excel Powerpoint and Adobe Acrobat viewers are available in the help section of the observatory.
Q. Can I add resources to the erpho site?
A. Every registered user can contribute to the erpho website. For more advice on this topic please view Submitting Information.
Q. I cannot see the resource I have uploaded?
A. Until a resource is approved it will only be visible to the author and erpho administrators. We try to process submitted resources within a working day. Also resources that have just been added to the database may take up few minutes to appear. For more advice on this topic please view Submitting Information.
Q. How can I find out about updates to the erpho website?
A. The last 50 items added can be viewed on Recent Additions.
