| | Audit of PPCI service on behalf of the cardiac and stroke networks In response to the establishment of a new heart attack service in the East of England and particular concern this created in East Suffolk about access and outcome, erpho was commissioned to conduct and audit of the first 12 months of the new PPCI service on behalf of the cardiac and stroke networks, the East of England Specialised Commissioning Group and NHS East of England on behalf of Professor Roger Boyle, the National Clinical Director for Heart Disease and Stroke. The audit involved combining data from a number of sources to measure service uptake, processes, call-to-balloon times and clinical outcomes. |
| | Travel time and travel distance models erpho has contributed to the work of several regional commissioning groups, clinical networks and needs assessment projects. Information supplied includes maps of catchments areas, data on times and distances travelled by patients, assessment of accessibility of existing services, assessment of the viability of potential sites for new services, estimates of changes in patient flow if new sites are opened and baseline information for assessing the carbon footprint of Trusts. |
| | Pharmaceutical needs assessments erpho supplies information and maps to PCTS in the region to support Pharmaceutical Needs Assessments. Maps of access to pharmacies and dispensing GPs were created on the basis of 2.5 km catchments (representing a 30 minute walking distance) and catchments based on 20 minute car journeys. | |
